Hoodwinked director to helm Zach Braff's Meadow

andrew_henrys_meadow_newedcover.jpgZach Braff has revealed to VH1 that Hoodwinked director Corey Edwards will helm Andrew Henry's Meadow, a movie that Braff and his brother Adam J. Braff wrote the script for. Braff said in the interview...

"He and I came up with a story based on a children's book that we both loved as kids. ... It's a big-kid's adventure movie. We describe it as if Terry Gilliam had directed "The Goonies." Cory Edwards, who wrote and directed "Hoodwinked!," the animated movie, is going to direct it. It's his first live-action movie. That's gonna be a fun project".
The children's book in question was written by Doris Burn in 1965 and it revolves around an amazing inventor who builds himself a house in the meadow to get away from his family. Of course the house he builds is so amazing, that children who also lived in his street also want houses in the meadow of their own. It's a very simple story... and by reading many reviews of the book... that plot above is really all that's there. I would expect Braff and his brother's script to have added more conflict and imagine, otherwise, Andrew Henry's Meadow is going to be one dull movie. source - coming soon
