Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation Review - 4 Ups & 5 Downs
1. It's Ultimately Totally Forgettable
Surely the most consistent aspect of the two prior movies is that they were both totally forgettable, and true to form, Summer Vacation is equally likely to exit your mind within hours of you leaving the cinema.
Sure, not every animated movie needs to be a Toy Story and embed itself deep into your psyche forever more, but even for the standards of fairly workmanlike, generic animation, it's staggering how easily these films slip from the mind.
To that end perhaps this film is best viewed as a passable time-waster, a decent summer babysitting tool for the kiddies and something that at least won't be torture for adults.
It's certainly not a great or even especially decent movie, then, but it's certainly not all bad either. Here's everything Hotel Transylvania 3 actually gets right...
