How 13 MCU Actors Reacted The First Time They Saw Their Costumes

10. Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther)

The late Chadwick Boseman first appeared as Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, attempting to avenge the death of his father by hunting down Bucky Barnes, the man he believes to be responsible for the murder.

It's during a fight between the pair that we first see the Black Panther suit in action, and while it definitely looks cool, Boseman wasn't too keen on it at first.

He described his early experiences with the costume as "suffocating" - it was so tight, that he actually found it difficult to breathe. Not good. However, over time, he did grow accustomed to the suit's restrictiveness, saying that it eventually felt like a second skin.

After Boseman's passing, costume designer Ruth Carter reminisced about the first time she saw him in the suit, calling the moment "magic". Clearly, Boseman was the perfect man to play this part.
