How Marvel Should Bring The X-Men Into The MCU

8. X-Men Gets A Full MCU Reboot

Perhaps the most divisive question regarding the X-Men in the MCU is whether or not they should be recast and the entire property rebooted.

Considering that the likes of Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and especially Jennifer Lawrence are becoming increasingly less relevant in the core X-Men franchise anyway and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is no more, it's probably tidier to just start the whole thing anew.

It's a shame for the more intriguing young cast members like Alexandra Shipp (Storm) and Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), but a clean break means Disney can approach the IP without any prior baggage. Otherwise, cherry-picking what they want out of the embers of Fox's X-Men universe just has the potential to muddy the MCU's waters, especially given the absurd continuity issues in the X-Men franchise.

Simply, recast everyone who isn't Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) or Laura (Dafne Keen), and basically give the X-Men the Spider-Man reboot treatment.
