How The MCU's X-Men COULD Look

8. Emma Frost

Here, Werneck updates a risqué costume for modern audiences.

Emma Frost has always been a sultry character. In almost all of her depictions, she is scantily-clad and bares quite a bit of skin. For a long time, this was par for the course for many female comic book characters (looking at you, Starfire). Here, Werneck wisely opts out of over-sexualizing Emma Frost, instead designing something more practical and realistic (and, perhaps most importantly, in line with Disney's family-friendly image).

He covers her belly button, something she has traditionally exposed. He does leave her shoulders and hips exposed, much like her classic comic suit, but they are done tastefully so as not to portray her in such a sexual, objectified fashion. Artistically, the exposure of her shoulders and hips (as depicted) allow for a visualization of her crystal powers. He also includes her white collar, which is a staple of her costume in the comics.

While the suit does show cleavage, it's not as grossly overstated as it was in the comics (or even in the 2011 First Class version, where she was essentially wearing nothing but lingerie). Instead, it seems to draw some inspiration from Wanda Maximoff's MCU outfit (excluding her original Age of Ultron attire).
