How The MCU's X-Men COULD Look

7. Kitty Pryde

Now for some deviations.

In the comics, Kitty Pryde is almost always depicted as wearing a black and yellow costume. Sometimes the yellow is in the shape of a V on her chest, and sometimes it's just a thick, vertical stripe. This is a pretty significant deviation from that classic look, and frankly, seems like a combination of her comic costume and her film costume.

In the films, Kitty Pryde (played by Ellen Page) wears a black leather suit - as was customary - with purple-ish accents throughout. These accents were never pronounced, but were there nonetheless. The film costume featured no yellow, and the only thing it had in common with the comic suit was the X-shaped belt buckle.

Of course, the most noticeable addition to this costume is not the costume at all - it's Lockheed. Lockheed is an extraterrestrial dragon that frequently accompanies Kitty on her adventures. He will make his first film appearance in The New Mutants later this year, though he'll be a companion of Illyana Rasputin, AKA Magik. Don't be surprised if Lockheed makes an appearance in the rebooted X-Men, as Disney would be remiss if they miss out on such a promising merchandising opportunity. After Baby Groot and Baby Yoda, Baby Lockheed just makes sense.
