10 Ways Film Geeks Can Survive A Zombie Apocalypse

6. Go Mad

The Peter Cushing vehicle Shock Waves is an early example of the Nazi zombies trope, and is most definitely the first film to feature a particular strain of sub-aquatic super-Nazis who go to pieces when you grab their goggles off them. €œOnce, they were almost human€ says the voiceover in the trailer, which, funnily enough, is oddly reminiscent of the way in which the actual Nazis considered non-Aryan people to be various types of Untermensch. I mean, I hope it€™s meant to be ironic, but it probably isn€™t. Anyway, the sole survivor of the onslaught is also the narrator of the story, who it quickly becomes clear has been sectioned following the mental trauma of the attack. Quite how she got out of there is anyone€™s guess really, but perhaps zombies are only really after brains which are functioning rationally.
