How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World Review - 5 Ups & 3 Downs
Ups...
5. It's Beautifully Animated
Just like the first two movies, this is an actually gorgeous film to behold, making the most of its high-wire potential with stunningly animated flight sequences which actually make that 3D ticket worth shelling out for.
Whether in the air or on the ground, the characters are wonderfully expressive - especially Toothless - and the world boasts a fantastically lived-in feel throughout.
Especially dazzling is the eventual reveal of The Hidden World, a dragon safe-haven that Hiccup and Toothless are seeking out, and also an action-packed finale that shan't be spoiled.
It's clear that so much love and care has been put into making this film another rich treat for fans, and even when the narrative isn't quite up to par, it's a sumptuous gift on equal stylistic footing with its predecessors.
