Lance Oppenheim's new thriller Primetime is surely one of the most buzzed-about films left to release in 2026, and with damn good reason.

The film stars Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen, the host of infamous reality TV series To Catch a Predator, chronicling the show's stratospheric success and calamitous implosion following a botched sting operation in 2006.

Pattinson might not seem like the most natural casting choice for Hansen on paper, but any and all doubt swiftly evaporates after watching the recently released trailer, which shows Pattinson in full chameleon mode as he assumes the man's essence.

And if the pitch perfect casting and stunning visuals aren't enough, the film has also invoked the ire of Hansen himself, enough that he even purchased pre-show advertising for every screening of the film in the U.S., for a commercial where he directs viewers to his streaming service TruBlu.

Basically, the casting is insane, it looks amazing, and it's pissing off the right people. There's no way this isn't great, right?
