Incredibles 2 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

2. The Terrific Vocal Performances

As beautiful as the movie looks, what would all that gorgeous animation be without some outstanding vocal work to back it up? Like the first film, the principal performers are absolutely marvellous, especially Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter as Mr. and Mrs. Incredible.

Credit should also go to Sarah Vowell, who does fantastic work with Violet - whose arc in this movie is a ton of fun - and Bob Odenkirk, who plays Winston Deavor, a superhero fanboy and business magnate who wants to fix the Incredibles' image.

Samuel L. Jackson is also terrific as Frozone - though once again, he's a little underused - and there are a ton of smaller roles by name actors and entertainment stars that are best left unspoiled.

As is the case with just about every Pixar film, Incredibles 2 is splendidly cast, and the sheer quality of the production ensures the actors are never tempted to just phone it all in for an easy paycheck.
