Indiana Jones 5: 10 Rumours You Need To Hear

6. Spielberg Could Return (Again)

It€™s hard to imagine the Indy franchise returning without its long-time director, given Spielberg has thus far directed all four installments. As usual he seems to be attached to any given number of projects, but with his close ties to Indiana Jones you€™d imagine he€™d certainly be offered first refusal on the job, and would at the very least give it serious consideration. What is less clear is how much George Lucas will be involved. He€™s worked on the story for each film so far, but has stated a desire to step away from the big-budget franchise world, and has not been involved with The Force Awakens. Following the Star Wars prequels and Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, it may be best if Lucas€™ role is kept to a minimum, although he is likely to have some say on the story.
