5. Indy Will Die
This theory isnt so much about the larger shape of the fifth movies plot, but more to do with a big event that could happen in it. Thats right, Indy's going to die. Well, probably. Well, maybe. This is an idea that has been doing the rounds online. The thinking goes that Disney will want Indy 5 to be a similar vehicle to The Force Awakens a restart of the franchise that passes the torch to new characters who can lead future films. Just like Han Solo dies a shocking death in that movie, so that the new kids can be the proper leads in Episodes VIII and IX, Harrison Ford could well die on screen again here. With the original Indy out the way, and given a last shot in the limelight with his fifth movie, the series would be free to continue with a new star. This is obviously a trickier enterprise than Star Wars as, well, Indiana Jones is the name of the franchise. However, Disney will surely find a way around that to keep this money-maker uh, excuse me, I mean - beloved series alive.
