And finally, though some fans expected to see a cameo appearance from Short Round (Ke Huy Quan), he doesn't appear in Dial of Destiny in any way, shape, or form.

Given Ke Huy Quan's recent cinematic resurgence per his Oscar-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once, there was speculation as to whether or not Disney might shoot an additional credits tag which saw Short Round swing by to greet Indy.

And sure, it would've been a cute moment that finally gave fans closure on Short Round's fate post-Temple of Doom, but it also might've also felt like desperate, excessive fan service.

Plus, it's entirely possible that Ke Huy Quan doesn't want to go back to the Indiana Jones well again, after spending the better part of four decades living in its shadow.
