9. Everett Ross In Wakanda
"I have seen Gods fly. I have seen men build things I couldn't even imagine and I've seen aliens drop from the sky." A version of that line from Martin Freeman's Everett Ross was used in the teaser trailer for Black Panther but it was nowhere to be seen in the final version of the Oscar-nominated movie. Now, we know why!
In this deleted scene, Ross and Nakia have a lengthy exchange which sheds more light on both of their backstories. We learn about the Wakandan's dislike for politics and her reluctance to talk about exactly what sort of relationship she and T'Challa have.
As for Ross, it's revealed that he was once married and still wears his wedding ring because he struggles to let go of the past. There's also intel on what led to the C.I.A. agent helping Black Panther during the events of Captain America: Civil War and this entire sequence effectively fleshes out both characters, while making them feel more human in the process.
