1. It's The Worst Film In The Franchise...So Far

Aside from the original film, the Insidious franchise hasn't exactly set a high bar for each successive sequel to clear, and even with that in mind, The Last Key is most definitely the worst film in the series to date.

Critics seem to agree, with the film scoring the worst reviews of the franchise, having surely been worn down by the series' patent refusal to introduce many interesting new ideas or change its formula up.

Of course, with The Last Key already making its budget back more than five times over, a fifth film will be in cinemas by 2020 at the latest, so there's always the potential for things to get much, much worse.

As bad as the fourth Insidious is, there are a few plusses that prevent it from being a total one-star trainwreck...
