5. Aliens?
Theres been a lot of guesswork about the plot of Interstellar and the potential fates of some of the characters never mind the fate of the Earth itself but one question remains above all others: will we be seeing any extraterrestrial life forms? At this time, we can only speculate as to whether or not Interstellar will feature aliens, but you can guarantee something big has been held back. Chris Nolan rarely makes a film that doesnt seek to spring a huge surprise on the audience at some point, and next to nothing is known about the films final act. On the face of it, the idea of Nolan tackling such fantastical subject matter doesnt quite fit. Then again, as previously discussed, Brand is keeping something quiet and Matt Damons role is entirely unaccounted for not that were suggesting either one will be revealed to be a Xenomorph so expect the unexpected. Could the films original man at the helm offer a clue? Steven Spielberg has previous when it comes to aliens on the big screen and gave us two of the definitive movies in that genre with E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Furthermore, Nolan has said that with Interstellar he is trying to evoke the spirit of classic Spielberg films, so we certainly cant rule out an alien encounter at some point.
