Interstellar: 10 Titbits That Will Get You Even More Excited

3. It€™s A Love Story

What you€™ve seen of Interstellar thus far strongly suggests an epic action/thriller with heavy doses of drama thrown in, but those aren€™t the genres that best describe it, according to one of its stars at least. Jessica Chastain was recently quoted as saying: €œIt€™s definitely a love story, definitely a love story. As much as the film is about outer space and like the most incredible action, adventure, epic, epic film, it€™s so much about love.€ You don€™t have to be an expert on science fiction or the oeuvre of Christopher Nolan to figure out that Interstellar isn€™t likely to be confused with the next Star Wars movie, but it would appear that the theme of the film is critical to Nolan€™s intentions. The director has expressed his vision in the following terms: €œWhat happens when scientists bump up against these things that defy easy characterisation and analysis €“ things like love?€ It€™s a possibility that the relationship between the characters played by McConaughey and Hathaway may venture beyond the platonic, but in all likelihood the film will be driven by familial love as seen through the eyes of Cooper €“ a man forced to leave his children behind in the hope of giving them the future they deserve.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
