2. Tony Stark Has Less Of An Ego

While Tony Stark will always have narcissistic tendencies, there are not many moments where he is enjoying being the center of attention such as in the beginning of Iron Man 2 during his opening speech at the Stark Expo. In Iron Man 3, Stark seems to prefer to remain in the shadows and not crave the spotlight as much as he does in the previous films. The audience sees a Tony Stark who is more sincere and less pompous and it is a fresh take on the character. The scene where Tony makes a public statement regarding the Mandarin is the most attention Stark gives to the media throughout the film. Stark even does not gloat when he is recognized by Harley and the individual working for the news station. In his interactions with other characters throughout the film, Stark displays how he has matured while maintaining aspects of his personality that are more familiar. The difference in Tony's personality is successful because audiences see how much he has changed.
