Iron Man 3: 5 Things It Got Right & 5 Things It Got Wrong

2. Nobody Died

Happy Hogan A bleak view, you may think, but the trailer's teased the potential deaths of both/either Pepper Potts or Happy Hogan - two people to whom Tony Stark is very close. Aside from Agent Phil Coulson (whom it would appear didn't really die anyway, given his imminent appearance in Marvel's SHIELD television series), there haven't really been any major casualties on the side of good in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it's about time that changed. A key death of someone close to one of the main heroes would really change the dynamic and give them some real purpose and it would have been even more of a rollercoaster to see how Tony dealt with the loss of someone close to him. Of course, Pepper Potts seemingly died in the movie, only to reappear having survived due the Extremis virus, while Happy Hogan's life hung in the balance while he was comatose, but he regained consciousness at the end and watched himself some Downton Abbey. I know Disney are behind the MCU movies now, but these happy endings are getting a little bit repetitive and tedious.
