2. Foreshadowing Stan's Fate
It ends with the Losers swearing a blood oath to return to Derry if they ever have reason to suspect Pennywise isn't dead. They then part ways, and the other they leave in cleverly foreshadows their fates in part two.
Stan, the most timid and reluctant member of the gang, is the first to leave in an apparent nod to him being the first of them to die in adulthood. Upliftingly, he slits his own wrists rather than face the clown again.
Eddie, who perishes in the final battle against Pennywise, is the second to leave the circle, while Bill and Bev are the last ones standing.
