It: 11 Easter Eggs You Probably Missed
3. The Mummy
In the It novel, Pennywise turns into a variety of classic Hammer Horror monsters to scare the snot out of the Losers, but as the latest adaptation is rooted in '80s culture, most of these forms didn't make the cut.
One does, though. During the final battle with the gang, the nightmarish clown briefly turns into a mummy, which is more likely a hat-tip to the vintage version, rather than the recent Tom Cruise travesty.
There's also a fleeting moment where Pennywise's arms become what look like spider legs, a possible hint that he will be taking on his arachnid form in chapter two to terrorise those with fear of spiders as well as clowns.
