It: 11 Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

When Patrick Hocksetter braves the Derry sewers, he sees a balloon drifting towards him bearing the slogan 'I Heart Derry'. This scene is horrible enough since it pops to reveal Pennywise, but there's a grim book reference in there too.

The exact same text appeared on a hat in the novel, worn by a character called Adrian Mellon, who is set upon by a homophobic gang and thrown off a bridge.

If that isn't bad enough, Pennywise, who is lurking below, bites into him and drags him into the sewers. He probably didn't heart Derry after that.
