6. The Derry Standpipe
That postcard Ben sends to Beverly isn't as sweet as it looks. On one side is an image of the Derry Standpipe, a water tower marred by multiple child deaths in the book.
This was once a location where locals would head to enjoy a nice vantage point, but it was closed to the public after a bunch of kids ended up in watery graves via Pennywise.
The Derry Standpipe also features in the Stephen King novels Dreamcatcher and 11/22/63 and has become something of a Maine tourist attraction thanks to its association with his work.
