8. Ballpoint Pen Grenade - GoldenEye

Proof, if ever there was any, that Boris is not "invincible".

A simple device capable of causing huge damage, this class IV grenade is disguised as a simple ballpoint pen in the style of a silver Parker Jotter. With three clicks, the bomb is armed with a four-second fuse which explodes with the power of your standard hand grenade, and can be disarmed with another three clicks.

When 007 was captured by the Russians and former-MI6 comrade Alec Trevelyan, the pen fell into the pianist's fingers of computer hacker Boris Grishenko, who had a habit of clicking pens whilst doing his job, and Bond kept careful count of the number of clicks.

When Boris snapped at fellow hostage Natalya, Bond slapped the pen from his hand with enough time on the clock before the pen exploded, taking out several Russian guards and causing enough damage to allow the two to make their escape, and eventually take down the GoldenEye satellite.
