The third outing for Irish actor, Pierce Brosnan, comes in at number 7. The World is Not Enough was released in 1999 and was a very successful entry, doing well both commercially and critically. The opening credits make full use of the modern visuals available to the filmmakers at the time, whilst also adding something to the story and staying true to Bond philosophy. The silky use of computer graphics allow for the dancers in the sequence to appear hollow or even invisible. This perfectly reflects the elusiveness of the villains in the movie, as Bond struggles to find an invisible evil. Part way through the credits, we also see an oil refinery working away in the same style, which further reflects the story of the film by using scenes from it. The music is performed by garage band Garbage and provides the finishing touch to what is a very satisfying opening sequence overall.
