Bond, this time portrayed by Roger Moore in this 1977 outing, opens his famous Union Jack parachute and the credits roll on one of the more satisfying openings to any Bond film. The visuals are typically sleek for the time it was released, and feature all of the elements that we have now come to expect from Bond opening sequences: A suave James Bond saunters around for the camera, variously posing with his gun and seducing beautiful women. The hues on the camera are a little odd, but we basically let it go because of the fantastic music that the sequence boasts. Carly Simon's song for the movie, entitled "Nobody Does It Better," is now recognised as one of the most iconic songs in movie history and a Bond staple. In 2004, the American Film Institute named it 67th in their greatest movie songs ever list - and it's impossible to hear this song without thinking of James Bond. The song encapsulates every aspect of the character that we all know and love, and has since become a part of Bond folklore.
