9. Irma Bunt - On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' is Bond cinematography at its absolute peak- early appearances from Terry Savalas, Joanna Lumley and of course Dame Diana 'Game of Thrones' Rigg. It has everything a Bond film needs, a mountain top retreat, Blofeld and the tying down of womaniser James Bond. At the end of OHMSS James Bond marries the love of his life Tracy, she goes further than most Bond girls could ever have dreamed and makes an honest man out of 007. Illse Steppat played Bunt in her first and last English speaking role. The original plan was to have Steppat reappear in 'Diamonds Are Forever' but her death meant that the character was not referenced, consequently nor was Tracy's death. This lead to the rather unusual recasting of Blofeld and lack of reference to previous events. Bunt makes the list due to her widowing of Mr. Bond; Tracy finally tames the lothario Casanova, only to be brutally gunned down in the climax of the film. The Louis Armstrong soundtrack and breakdown of Bond make it a truly iconic moment of the franchises' history. What makes her even more hated is the fact Bunt is one of the few Bond villains to escape retribution.
