8. Tiffany Case - Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
Keeping up with her wig and costume changes are perhaps the hardest part of 'Diamonds are Forever' as well as trying to stomach her ditsy antics. Jill St. John played the diamond smuggler who unwittingly worked for terrorist super group and all around Bond haters S.P.E.C.T.R.E. The film version of Case was completely re-written compared to the novel. In the book Tiffany Case works for 'The Springfield Mob', ruthless diamond fencers smuggling gems from Africa. The Case from the film works for Blofeld just to make it easier. A hinderance more than a Bond girl, she constantly changes her wigs, gets captured by the villain and prioritises her own summer glow over the fate of the world. A bumbling buxom bimbo who causes more harm than good- Bond should have left her in Amsterdam, the film would have been a lot shorter, but I'm sure it would save our eardrums. Although Tiffany Case is downright annoying and has ridiculous name, the award for worst name in 'Diamonds are Forever' has to go to Plenty O'Toole- classic Bond filth.
