James Bond: 7 Awesome Villains Clearly Too Good For Their Movie

6. Mathieu Amalric As Dominic Greene - Quantum Of Solace (2008)

Quantum of Solace When I heard that Casino Royale was going to have an actual true sequel in the form of Quantum of Solace, I was excited at the prospect. Then I saw Casino Royale and became apprehensive. The villain dies. And a good villain at that. How were they going to come up with a villain to not just step into the Bond universe, but take over a position that would equal the previous villain while continuing the story in a way that felt right? Well, they did it. They came up with a surprisingly well-conceived menace in the form of Dominic Greene. As the head of the organization Quantum, he carries himself demurely, using his slight stature to convince those around him that he is harmless. Though if you're smart you realize soon enough he is the most dangerous man in the room at any given time. This un-alarming exterior hides a monster that is ready to pounce. The climax of the film is easily one of the best Bond-villain battles - a joy to watch over and over again.

"The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time." -Abraham Lincoln This probably is the best way to explain how I try to live my life. I have plans for the future, but try not to lose sight of the now. I enjoy writing for this reason I think. Another of my favorite quotes is: "There are no bad pictures; that's just how your face looks sometimes." -Abraham Lincoln The fact that someone as influential and important is so grounded is really cool to me.
