Jamie Dornan: 10 Previous Roles You May Have Missed

9. Beyond The Rave

Dornan's second acting project, Beyond The Rave, was more significant than most realise (though that would be in part because hardly anybody has even heard of it). Not only did Beyond The Rave provide Dornan with his first starring role, but it marked the return of Hammer horror, with famed Brit studio Hammer Films making its comeback with the made-for-Myspace series in 2008. The fact that it was made for Myspace probably the reason why you've never seen it. Dornan plays British soldier Ed, who's about to fly out to Iraq, only the mystery of his missing girlfriend and a pesky cabal of vampires is getting in the way of his enjoying his last few hours of civilian life. Dornan, trying a Mancunian accent on for size (and making a pretty decent go of it, if you can put aside the occasional lapse into Irishness), still seems a tad uncomfortable on-screen. Better opportunities offering Dornan a chance to further his acting skills would come.
