Jason Statham: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked
3. Quentin Connors - Chaos (2005)
Never heard of Chaos? You're not alone.
The straight to DVD actioner wasn't exactly heralded with armies of marketing trumpets, despite the presence of former star qualities like Wesley Snipes and Ryan Philippe alongside Statham. And, frankly, it's not hard to see why it made the jump straight to the bargain bin.
Statham gives one of his most cliche-riddled performances, the story beats are incredibly familiar, the twists were endless and none of the actors seemed like they much cared for or understood the material. Basically a perfect storm of awfulness - or at least that would be the case if it was easy to actually care much about the film or its characters.
Statham pretty much sleepwalks his way through the role and just does what he thinks audiences expect from him. He yells a bit, gives some dirty looks and throws a few punches. All in a day's work.
Too bad that day's work amounted to such a terrible film.
