Jeff Goldblum: 5 Awesome Performances & 5 That Sucked
1. Milton Krampf - Mortdecai (2015)
Is there anyone who really emerged from Mortdecai - almost certainly one of the worst films of 2015 - with anything like their credibility intact? You'd be hard pressed to find them.
Alongside Johnny Depp's attempted English Inspector Clouseau, Goldblum turns up as a sleazy American art dealer, who is so grossly miscast that it's almost worthy of revolt. He's unlikeable - the first crime - and seemingly unbothered that he's supposed to be acting - the second, and there's no joy to watching his performance at all.
The film is an irredeemable blemish on Goldblum's career, from a period in which he was enjoying a sort of cult resurgence, and it's hard to forgive it for that.
