2. Joanna - Office Space

One of Aniston's most brilliantly understated performances for sure, she plays Joanna in Mike Judge's uproarious Office Space, a waitress who embarks on a relationship with protagonist Peter (Ron Livingston) as he attempts to rip off his company and live the life of nothingness that he so desperately wants.

Aniston's most memorable scene in the film involves her being chewed out by her boss (played by Judge) for not wearing enough "flair" with her work uniform, leading to her eventually quitting and flipping her boss off at the end of the movie.

This is a rare film where Aniston actually comes across as incredibly down to Earth and "achieveable", likely due to her fairly menial job and her nerdy attitude (she loves the show Kung Fu), and the result is one of her most impressive and likeable performances.

Even more so than the male protagonists - who, let's face it, are pretty smart guys - she seems totally regular and grounded.
