Jigsaw Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

6. The Twists Are Dumb & Predictable

It wouldn't be a Saw movie without a plot twist, and while even the lesser Saw movies tended to serve up entertainingly bonkers reveals, this is another area where Jigsaw sadly falls short.

The third act unfurls several twists in succession, but none of them hit with the desired impact because they're either hilariously predictable, lazy repetitions of previous twists in the series, overly contrived (even for the standards of this franchise) or require an audience investment in the continuation of the Saw movies that even the hardcore crowd might struggle to muster after eight films.

You'll likely roll your eyes rather than be blown away by the demented genius of it all, to be honest.
