2. It's Got An Awful Sequel Hook

It's not a spoiler to say that Jigsaw has been made as an attempt to reboot and reinvigorate the Saw franchise, to kick off another run of movies over the next few years for a new generation of horror fans.

Unfortunately, Jigsaw concludes with only the least imaginative and, yes, laziest of sequel hooks, one so thoughtless and obvious you probably assumed they wouldn't dare do it.

Of course, whether a sequel actually materialises or not depends entirely on how the film performs at the box office, but early projections suggest it's probably going to open very healthily, almost certainly guaranteeing Saw 9 (or Jigsaw 2) this time next year. Brace yourself.
