A shadowy figure from the future is sent to meddle with the past to remould history - no, it€™s not Arnold Schwarzenegger€™s plan to get re-elected, but you€™d be forgiven for thinking that you€™ve heard it somewhere before. Warner Bros. have boughtColin Trevorrow€™s script World War X (not to be confused with Max Brooks' zombie apocalypse World War Z), which finds our hero recruited by the Feds to stop the meddling terrorist (sorry, that sounds a bit Scooby Doo). Mega WB producer Joel Silver is behind it, the guy who has talked for years about turning the World War II properties Sgt. Rock and a remake of The Dirty Dozen into tentpole movies, but has so far has failed in his attempts. We don't have anymore details right now but we thought the plot sounded cool (I wonder if Michael Biehn, Lance Henriksen or the Governor himself will be available?) and the title is catchy, and might actually force Marc Forster and Paramount to speed up the World War Z pre-production.
