John Moore directing vampire zombie movie in Afghanistan

Amidst all the middle-east movies we are set to be bombarded with over the next 18 months, New Regency are set to put a little spin on their own Afghan flick. The studio have optioned the Virgin Comics title Virulent which follows a group of soldiers who stumble into a vampire zombie nest in Afghanistan says Variety. John Moore will direct the picture. He most recently helmed that hideous remake of The Omen and previously directed a war picture with the awful Behind Enemy Lines in 2001. Trailer for the comic is below. With words like 'Vampire Terrorists', this could really be one controversial picture.
