Joker Solo Movie: 10 Origin Stories It Could Adapt
1. Jack Napier Begins
Batman fans will know exactly who Jack Napier is. He's the ruthless criminal who murdered the Waynes and went on to become The Joker in Tim Burton's Batman.
This particular origin story isn't exactly a fan-favourite. Most Bat enthusiasts agree that having the villain gun down Bruce's parents is one connection too many between the characters, and a plot point which drains some of the mystery from Mister J.
Nevertheless, there's an outside chance the Joker movie could explore his beginnings as Jack Napier because this persona is about to be revived by DC Comics.
Seven-issue miniseries Batman: White Knight will launch in October and see the Clown Prince reclaim the identity he was given in the original Burton film. Could the upcoming solo movie follow suit and explore similar themes?
White Knight will mark the first time The Joker has gone by the name of Jack Napier in comic books, outside of movie adaptations, and seen as there's plenty of fanfare around it, it's possible the film could include a call-back to a classic Batman movie and the latest comics by shedding fresh light on this version of the villain.
