Jurassic Park 4: 10 Ways To Save The Franchise

6. New Dinosaur Breeds

Jurassic Park Each new Jurassic Park film has brought with it a new type of dinosaur to try and keep things fresh, and though enough time has passed that we would pretty much settle for any dinosaurs, wouldn't it be nice to see some more thrown into the mix? Though they run the risk of simply parading out every dinosaur known to man, I'd like to see some of the more speculative or little-known dinosaurs out there; perhaps some water-based dinos or more variants on the flying dinosaurs we saw introduced in the last film. As long as they don't get too ridiculous, as was a criticism of the previous film - which featured dinosaurs with pretty feathers and appealing colours, as though marketing themselves towards young girls who might want the figurines - this could be a great way to re-enliven the franchise. These creatures need to be brutal and visceral; when I'm sat in the cinema watching JP4, I want to feel the threat, like I did the first time I saw the original film.
