2. We Need Both Monsters & Magic

The most wonderful thing about Jurassic Park was not just the uber-frightening introduction of the Velociraptors--awesome though that might have been--but the inherent magic of the story. There was such wonder on the characters faces (Spielberg shot!), and that wonder was equally matched on ours in the audience. It was scary, sure, but also extraordinarily enchanting. Today, we are ready for that feeling again. We have been inundated with monster movies over the past several years. Some of them have been good, some even better than good, but mostly they're terrible. And why? There's no magic in them! Jurassic Park IV, with its dream team assembly (at least behind the scenes€we don't know anything about a possible cast yet), is guaranteed to have monsters and will surely be infused with enough magic to recall those summer afternoons in 1993, sitting in a theatre and discovering those real-life dinos alongside Doctors Grant and Sattler.
