The Movie: Jurassic Park III Method of Death: In the previously-mentioned opening scene of the third film, the parasailing boat owned by Dino-Soar and crewed by two men entered a low-lying fog. From their vantage above, Ben and Eric felt their tether being pulled and wondered what was going on before witnessing the boat emerge out of the fog with its canvas shredded and the two men missing. Though one segment of the Pteranodon population had been caged in the aviary seen later in the film, at least several others were seen free on the island in the closing moments of 1997's The Lost World. Whether they're responsible or not - it's never explained outright in the film - the boat crew's sudden disappearance injected the opening sequence with a sense of mysterious unease and helped kick off the events that would bring Dr. Grant to Site B for his first time.
