Jurassic World: 10 Reasons It's The Worst Movie In The Franchise

1. Many Of The Actors Are Completely Under-Used

The cast list for Jurassic World is undeniably great, packed with character actors playing supporting roles. So one great disappointment about the latest Jurassic franchise entry is that Trevorrow barely utilises any of them to their full potential, and gives others hardly anything to do at all. Aside from the aforementioned Vincent D'Onofrio, cast no doubt because of his villainous background then lumped with the most stupid character in the film, you also have the Cesar-winning Omar Sy playing an absolute blank, comedy star Jake Johnson sitting at a desk not saying much for the entirety of the movie, and the mighty Irrfan Khan reduced to Indominus Rex bait. Instead, Bryce Dallas Howard, hardly the most talented of performers, is given the most to do, while all the likes of returning Jurassic Park actor BD Wong can do is try and steal the few scenes they're given. Chris Pratt is the only actor to really emerge victorious from Jurassic World - if nothing else, the film's a good audition for him to play Indiana Jones.
