10. Pratt And Howard To Return
One thing which grated with Jurassic Park III was the unnecessary split of Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler. Laura Dern made a brief appearance in the film, so she must have been on board for a bigger role if offered, but instead she was cast aside for William H Macy and Tea Leoni. This was particularly frustrating because the audience had invested so much into the unconventional will-they-won't-they routine between the two actors in Jurassic Park. The move to have them split apart added little to the third movie, while removing a bit of shine from the original in the process. No one's saying the relationship between Owen Grady and Claire Dearing beats that of Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler - it was, admittedly, a little more contrived by comparison - but it would certainly show some conviction in the decision to bring the two together by having them continue their romance at the reopened park. What's more, Dallas Howard's character showed some real growth during the course of the film and it would be good to get the chance to see where that leads her.
