Jurassic World: 10 Things That Need To Happen In The Sequel

3. A Chris Pratt Character Arc

Chris Pratt has been praised almost unanimously for his role in Jurassic World. Combining an every-guy humour with the looks of a classic leading man, he looks set to earn every kid-friendly, action lead role from now until the end of time. However, while his performance was immaculate, there are a few gripes to be had. It might have been noticeable to audiences that Claire Dearing underwent a transformation in the movie. She started out a little stuffy and repressed, scuttling around with a white blouse and over-the-shoulder jacket. By the end of the film she was a more conventional heroine, looking the part with her cropped blouse and incredibly brave and resourceful in leading the T Rex out of its enclosure to save the day. Any journey for Chris Pratt was conspicuously absent. He started the movie a wise-cracking good guy and he finished it a wise cracking good guy. If Pratt is to return (and why wouldn't he?) it would be nice to give him a few personal dilemmas to deal with as opposed to just being a pretty cool character.
