5. The Hybrid Will Have Camouflage Abilities

Much of the fan speculation has been centred around the identity of the mysterious hybrid dinosaur, dubbed 'D-Rex.' We'll go over what the thing might actually look like in a later entry, but there have been some interesting theories regarding the abilities of the creature. One idea that's been floating around is that the D-Rex will have camouflage abilities, allowing it blend in with environments. At one point during the trailer, there's a shot from behind what looks to be the hybrid, as it chases Owen. Interestingly, it appears that the chase is taking place from inside the paddock, with Owen running for the exit. The theory is that Owen was called in to investigate the hybrid's escape from the massive paddock, to figure out how, why and where it went. While looking around, he realises that the D-Rex never actually left the paddock, but is hiding inside still. The idea is that, in an attempt to get the a vibrantly coloured predator in the park, they spliced its DNA with that of a cuttlefish. However, D-Rex learned to control these colour-changing properties, turning it into an incredibly deadly, effective killer.
