Jurassic World: 9 Crazy Fan Theories (That Just Might Happen)

3. The T-Rex Gets Back Its Crown

A lot of fans were angry with Jurassic Park III. Angry about the contrived plot, the poor writing, and the silly action sequences. Most of all, they were angry about T-Rex being killed by a stupid Spinosaurus, not long into the film. The T-Rex is arguably the franchise's mascot, and was hugely important to the first two films. Symbolic of the sheer, uncontrollable power of nature, it just left a bad taste in audiences' mouths to see it despatched of so quickly. Judging from the leaked brochures and maps, the T-Rex is back again in Jurassic World, ready to sit back on the throne as king of the dinosaurs. Trevorrow is almost certainly aware of the backlash against T-Rex being relegated to such a minor role in Jurassic Park III, and it's likely he'll do everything possible to rectify it. Expect some sort of showdown between Rex and the hybrid (you can guess who our bets are on.)
