Jurassic World: 9 Crazy Fan Theories (That Just Might Happen)

2. It's Coupon Day

According to a theory by Reddit user JamesRenner, Jurassic World will take place on a 'coupon day.' This might not sound like a detail of little significance, unless you take a look back at a certain piece of dialogue during the original film. Lawyer Gennaro and John Hammond have a discussion early in the film about who exactly the park would be catering for. As stated by Hammond, "This park was not built to cater to the super rich. Everyone in the world's got a right to enjoy these animals." Gennaro responds by saying, "Sure, sure they will. We'll have a coupon day or something." The trailer suggests that the boys in the trailer aren't from a particularly rich or prosperous family, as evidenced by the fact that the mother (or auntie?) seems to only be able to afford to send the boys. And, in a neat reference, there's a good chance that's on coupon day.
