Life finds a way. And this time, it found a way to bring the brilliant Jeff Goldblum back to our screens as Ian Malcolm.

Yes, the celebrated actor made his return to the Jurassic Park franchise in Fallen Kingdom, as Malcolm was asked to speak at a tribunal on whether or not the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar should be rescued before the island's volcano erupts.

However, for Malcolm, there’s a simple answer: the dinosaurs must be left to die; otherwise, they could be exploited. He makes a fair point.

While it was a treat to see Malcolm for the first time since The Lost World, his return was soured by how little he was actually in the film. He only appeared in the courtroom scenes, and had no interactions with Claire, Owen or any of the dinosaurs. In a way, his big return to Jurassic Park franchise was a bit of a disappointment.

But now that Malcolm's worst fears have come to pass, will we see him return in the sequel? The chaos theory expert is well versed in the world of dinosaurs, having survived on both of the islands for a while, so it's only natural that the world leaders would want his help in removing the beasts from our world.
