One character whose role in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom remains shrouded in volcano smoke in James Cromwell's Benjamin Lockwood. He was the late John Hammond's business partner, but has never before appeared in the series.

His role in the upcoming sequel remains a mystery. How will he deal with the blowback from the Jurassic World disaster in the previous film? The compensation claims from all those Pteranodon wounds will certainly have taken a toll on his bank balance.

The most important question to ask around Lockwood is whether he's the movie's villain. There's every chance he could have plans for Isla Nublar's dinosaurs that clash with Owen and Claire's rescue operation.

Lockwood developed the cloning technology in collaboration with Hammond, though little else about him is known. Since Hammond's remit seemed to be to be the business side of things, perhaps Cromwell's character took the lead on the science.
