2. An Alan Grant Cameo
Fallen Kingdom is set to bring back Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) while Jurassic World included a statue tribute to John Hammond (the late Richard Attenborough) - so it seems only fitting that Sam Neill's plucky paleontologist Alan Grant gets some kind of mention in the upcoming sequel.
If our dear Doctor Grant doesn't pop up for a surprise, fan-pleasing cameo, let's hope the film at least acknowledges his absence by explaining what became of the master digger in the Jurassic Park universe.
Neill has broached this very subject in a past interview, theorising that Grant has fallen off the grid since retiring from paleontology and may even be dead in the Jurassic World timeline.
Let's hope he's wrong on that one, but if Grant has in fact met his maker, he deserves some kind of tribute in Fallen Kingdom. Is a scene where a character is spotted reading one of his books too much to ask?
